Located on the shores of Lake Superior in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, the Porcupine Mountains are home to the largest tract of old-growth hardwood forests west of the Adirondacks. The pristine forests of the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness support black bear, deer, timber wolves, river otters and even moose, as well as rare woodland plants that depend on the old-growth forest habitat that abounds here. We hike along Lake Superior, visit a waterfall and camp along the inland Lake of the Clouds.
This program allows you to work on a more in depth level with your kids. Teens will set goals and journal. The group will bond over the five days and the kids will have an opportunity to be leader for the day. This is a great program to really get away and help your teens grow as young adults.
